After series of meeting between the school management and the engineering committee in reference with INDUSTRIAL AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING H.O.D, the school have finally come into agreement of moving the Department of MATERIALS AND METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING under the INDUSTRIAL AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING...... Which now clearly signifies that the INDUSTRIAL AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING now stands as a School on it's own in the Institution......
Who knows if it now time for YABA COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY to advance from being a Polytechnic into a University of it's own.....
Although they are already affiliated with the University of Nigeria NSUKKA (UNN )
