Photo: Three children from one family go missing in Lagos

Musiliu Adetoro, a commercial driver in Lagos state, has appealed to the state government and the police to help find three of his children, 16 years old Barakat and his 11 year old twins. He said they went missing six weeks ago.

The Guardian.ng reports that Musiliu, a commercial motorcyclist who lives at Isawo in Ikorodu area of Lagos, had on Saturday, March 19th sent his daughter Barakat on an errand and she was accompanied by her twin brothers to Olainukan Bus Stop, which is close to their residence. Musiliu said that was the last time he saw his children.

He said he has been taking care of his children alone after he separated from their mother 11 years ago.

“On the same day, I reported the matter at Owutu Police Station in Ikorodu and the police promised to take necessary steps to get the children back home. Meanwhile, I called their mother to inform her about the situation, thinking probably the children had gone to see her, but she claimed ignorance of their whereabouts. I have since then not been myself at all while I struggle to keep hope alive of their safe return.”
