Chocolate City Parts Ways With Its Rising Rapper, Milli

Nigerian record label, Chocolate City led by MI Abaga and Audu Maikori have parted ways with one of its new signee and fast rising rapper, Milli .
Milli creeped into our consciousness with his efforts on MI Abaga’s ‘Chairman’ album in 2014. He got signed to MI’s ‘Loopy Music’ in January 2015 and when Choc City and Loopy Music merged in mid-2015, he officially became signed to Choc City.

Now, his contract has been terminated and his much talked about ‘Childish EP’ didn’t get to be released.

According to a statement issued by the label on social media today, ‘ Chocolate City andMilli have agreed to end our business relationship amicably. We wish Milli well with all future endeavors as he has an amazing career ahead of him’.

Sources in the Choc City camp tells THENETNG that, ‘Milli and the label have been having issues for a long time. He’s strong willed and erratic. Most times he’s difficult to control’.
A quick look through his social media pages shows his last post was 11 weeks ago with a cryptic message.

Milli was one of the Choc City 2.o acts alongside Koker and Dice Ailes that were set to rival Mavin records’ D’ija, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello.
